A Hybrid Network/Host Mobility Management Scheme for NGNs
نویسندگان
چکیده
Next Generation Networks are becoming more and more converged. Like the System Architecture Evolution (SAE) which encourages Fixed Mobile Convergence. It is a packet switched network which connects different radio access technologies. With this heterogeneity, mobility management becomes an issue as the goal is to always achieve seamless mobility. However, various access technologies support different layer 3 schemes, such as PMIPv6 which is network-based and MIPv6 which is host based. With the heterogeneity that the SAE adopts, there are several deployment scenarios where PMIPv6 will interact with MIPv6. We propose a hybrid network/host mobility management scheme which will allow the user to roam amongst networks supporting either protocol. Index Terms – global mobility management, network-based mobility management, proxy mobile ipv6, EPC.

Cross-layer Localized Mobility Management Based on SIP and HMIPv6 in Next Generation Networks
—Next Generation Networks (NGNs) are aiming to integrate different access technologies for the accessibility of heterogeneous platform under the control of IP protocol. In such a complex environment, the availability of high data rates, high bandwidth, security, and end-to-end QoS are major challenges. In this paper cross-layer localized mobility management based on Session Initiation Protocol...
متن کاملAn Efficient Location Management Scheme for Hybrid Wireless ATM Networks
Location management is one of the most important aspects in the realization of mobility in wireless networks. Following developments of ATM (Asynchronous Transfer Mode) technology, more core networks become ATM-based. Therefore, the demand of mobility on wireless networks with ATM backbones is increasing. In recent years, several location management schemes have been proposed for classical wire...
متن کاملPerformance analysis of mobile IP and SLM
We present a performance analysis of two architectures for Internet host mobility management, namely, Mobile IP and Session Layer Mobility Management (SLM). The Mobile IP architecture is designed with the principle that the fixed Internet hosts should remain unmodified while only the underlying IP routing infrastructure should change. By contrast, SLM requires no changes to the existing IP infr...
متن کاملHybrid multilayer mobility management with AAA context transfer capabilities for all-IP networks
This article presents a multilayer mobility management scheme for All-IP networks where local mobility movements (micro-mobility) are handled separately from global movements (macro-mobility). Furthermore, a hybrid scheme is proposed to handle macro-mobility (Mobile IP for non-real-time services and SIP for real-time services). The interworking between micromobility and macro-mobility is implem...
متن کاملHybrid Key pre-distribution scheme for wireless sensor network based on combinatorial design
Key distribution is an important problem in wireless sensor networks where sensor nodesare randomly scattered in adversarial environments.Due to the random deployment of sensors, a list of keys must be pre-distributed to each sensor node before deployment. To establish a secure communication, two nodes must share common key from their key-rings. Otherwise, they can find a key- path in which ens...
